I hope you saw the June 1 article on Mashable on 5 Ways Mobile Tech Can Improve Your Health.
mHIMSS is thrilled to share knowledge on how growth in wireless coverage, new technologies and apps are changing the health and healthcare landscape, through consumer and clinician engagement. As for sharing this story, there were more than 1,000 tweets…
…The article generated a lot of discussion online on Twitter as a search for “mobile” or “health” on Twitter revealed the Mashable article as the “top news” story of the day (on June 1; see below)…
…and just over 907,000 likes of the article as posted on the Mashable page. (Share my post with your friends and colleagues; ask them to click on the link to: 5 Ways Mobile Tech Can Improve Your Health and make it 1,000,000.)
Statistics aside, my point here is simply this: Mobile technologies are making a positive difference in healthcare…for all of us involved in caring about and taking care of our health. Caregivers have, and are using, this new avenue of mobile connectivity to interact with patients and provide updated information.
So, watch for more on the mobile health with updates from mHIMSS here on the HIMSS Blog, on the mHIMSS website, the mHIMSS Blog, and the many online news sites sharing this information.
