When Ken Congdon (@KenOnHIT) said “Interested to see how @AneeshChopra answers all of these #healthIT questions in 140 characters or less!” He wasn’t kidding. Questions for Former US Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra came in fast and furiously during yesterday’s #AskAneesh Tweet Chat. Not surprisingly, Aneesh embraced the whirlwind opportunity and showcased his expertise, resourcefulness and passion for healthcare and technology.
Additionally, Shahid N. Shah (@ShahidNShah), aka “The Healthcare IT Guy,” was an exceptional moderator whose original questions and ad-libs made the chat that much more enjoyable.
I’d like to send special thanks to Aneesh, Shahid and all those who joined the chat live on May 30 from 1-2 pm CT, which was inspired by the upcoming Government Health IT Conference & Exhibition (#GHIT12) in Washington, DC on June 11-12.
Check out the transcript from the #AskAneesh Tweet Chat below.
Which of Aneesh’s answers surprises or resonates with you most and why?

What’s less commonly known is that Aneesh has always had a real passion for healthcare. #AskAneesh

Nice recap of a really active chat Cari. Well done.
Thanks John! And thanks for participating in the discussion. My favorite question of yours was “Would you see a doctor that didn’t have an EHR? #askaneesh.” And I loved that Aneesh employed the hashtag #stinks in his response: “personally, our family will choose provider on HIT; when we moved to richmond, wife’s files transferred on paper #stinks #askaneesh.”
