Robert Tagalicod, the Director at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, kicked off the conference with his energetic keynote presentation discussing the transformation of eHealth and its implications on CMS’ commitment to better health, better care, at lower costs.
-
It wasn’t long after Tagalicod’s Keynote address that @HIMSS followers and community members began turning to Twitter to discuss their perspectives on health IT through the #HIMSSVirtual hashtag. Between numerous education sessions on Meaningful Use, ICD-10/5010, Health Information Exchanges, EMR, mHealth and Accountable Care Organizations – and undoubtedly several coffee and bathroom breaks – HIMSS Virtual Conference attendees had plenty of anecdotes and takeaways to strip down to 140 characters.
